OK, so another big merger is underway, this time Sprint plans to buy T-Mobile for $32 billion. The outcome of such a transaction would create an even more limited choice of major cell providers, leaving us with Verizon, AT&T, and the Sprint-T-Mobile conglomerate.
How can these companies be allowed to consolidate to the point of monopolizing services to huge segments of customers?
Didn’t the breakup of the AT&T monopoly happen within our memories, unless we quickly forget any lessons learned from the past, and just charge forward and essentially repeat our errors yet again?
